We offer four kinds of Catering Services:
1. PICK UP: As easy as call ... order ... pick up
2. DELIVERY: As easy as call ... order ... your delicious cuisine delivered at your location
3. ON SITE FROM THE WAGON WINDOW: We drive our gorgeous SCHNITZels & GIGGLES Concession Wagon to your location and we do the cooking on site. Your guests come up to the window at the desired dinner time to get their food. Once all your guests are done eating we drive our SCHNITZels & GIGGLES wagon home.
4. ON SITE FULLY STAFFED: The most glamorous of our catering services and certainly the one we recommend. We drive our gorgeous SCHNITZels & GIGGLES Concession Wagon to your location and we do everything from the shopping, the preparing, the cooking to the clean up. All you need to do is relax and enjoy your special event.

Note from Chef Graf: We understand that each function we cater is unique. If there are any sides or entrées that you would like to add for a specific theme please inquire. Additional menu items are available upon request. We are able to change any food item to adapt to any event for breakfast, lunch, dinner, appetizers, soup or salads you name it we will gladly make it, and if we can't we will refer you to the one who can! Relax and enjoy - leave the details to us. Your event should reflect who you are, your taste, style and personality. We are absolutely dedicated to providing you with a unique and memorable occasion. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
As restauranteurs we have served many meals in our location, being new to the catering field we know we can take what we have done at Alphorn Bistro to your home and you will be very impressed with our quality of food and our service. There's only 1 chance to make a first impression and our job is to make you look good. Our endless menu and superb food are only part of the story. It's the personal service and attention to detail that sets us apart. Our reasonable prices will be great for your budget too. So here are some of the nitty gritty details you are wondering about. Please feel free to call or email us if we have not answered all your questions for you on this page.
1. What kind of time commitment is there to put on an onsite Oktoberfest?
You need to want to have a lot of fun! To give you an idea of what it takes on our side, we start the day before: roughly 3 hours of our staff's time is spent prepping for the job depending upon the size of your event. We then go through an extensive checklist to make sure we have all the equipment and supplies we need for your party.
Day of: Between 12-24 hours are put in by our staff. This includes the following:
a. 1 hour hook up and loading of vehicles
b. Travel to your exclusive site
c. 1 hour of preparation and site set up depending upon the size of your party
d. Cooking time
e. Serving time
f. 1 hour site cleanup
g. Travel back to the home base
Day After: A minimum of 2 hours are spent cleaning and sanitizing the equipment.
2. How much does it cost?
We need all of the basic information about your event in order to determine this. If you are working with a budget, please let us know immediately so we can work within the parameters.
3. Will you travel out of your immediate area?
Yes, however we do have to charge for travel time.
4. How many servers will we need?
Our average is one server for every 20-25 guests. The style of service & intricacies of the menu & venue can alter this average; it's all personalized for your event.
5. Are you a full service caterer?
We absolutely can be if that is what you hire us to do. If that is your desire we will take care of the set up and organizing of the rentals, the service period & a full break down of the venue including trash removal, cleaning & repacking rental items.
6. What other expenses should I expect for a fully catered event?
We accept cash or checks only. A 25% deposit is required with your contract; a second payment of 50% is required two weeks prior to your event and a final billing is done after the event reflecting your final numbers and labor. Pricing and billing arrangements will be customized with our staff once you have made the choices desired for your particular event. Our invoices will have the food expenses as well as labor, linens, gas and propane; NH 9% meals tax, service charge and any incidentals (bagged ice, etc...). After accepting your estimate, simply sign the contract and return it with the deposit. A date is not held until we receive the signed contract with the deposit.
7. Is my party too small or too large for catering?
No, we work with groups of all sizes. We can also recommend menus for delivery that can work well for the smaller gatherings if labor isn't needed.
8. Do you handle the rentals?
Yes, if you are looking for just an estimate we recommend talking with the tent company directly. Upon hire we will have the necessary details required to place an order for you. Most of the companies we use will be able to set up and account started in your (company's) name and they will bill you directly.
9. What equipment do you provide and what is the host responsible for?
Schnitzels & Giggles will provide all the equipment needed to cook your food in our as well as the serving dishes and equipment. The host is responsible for providing all other equipment needed to accommodate their guests: tables, chairs, plates, cutlery, tents, etc. This allows the host to customize the presentation of the event to match their own style and price range. Unless of course you want us to take care of all these needs for you and we can discuss that with you. We can provide the names of stores and services that specialize in that aspect of the event
10. Do you offer free consultations?
Yes. The free consultation could simply be a "meet & greet" time period to answer some basic questions. It could also be more of a working meeting to fine tune an estimate. By completing the short Request for Estimate form, it enables us to be better prepared for your consultation. 11. Will you still do the catering when the weather is bad?
Absolutely! We are prepared to cook for you no matter if it is raining or the temperature is below zero.
12. Do you just serve German Style Cuisine?
No absolutely not! There's nothing within reason that we cannot do! If you have any special requests please feel free to contact us. A full menu price list is available upon request by email, fax or phone.
13. Are you insured?
Absolutely! We carry full liability insurance.
14. Do you do tastings?
We can schedule a private tasting for you; we can also invite you to join us at Chef Graf's Alphorn Bistro at the Inn at Danbury where our full menu is served. All the events we cater are exclusive and private events. As our catering business grows we will be glad to give you a list of references. You may also wish to speak to some of our bistro's regular guests who would be happy to share their experience with you!
15. Can you give me a break down example of a fest?
For example a two Brat, 2 side Brat Fest for pick up for 50 guests would cost:
Brat Fest for 50 x $13 = $650
9% NH Meals Tax = $58.50
Gratuity = $ our call
Total = $708.50

16. What is your cancelation policy?
A required deposit will be charged for each event. This is prices according to your personal event. A minimum of 25% for the total of your event is due at the time of booking. Since our events are all organized one on one for your private function we will adapt our cancelation policy to your specific time frame when booking your event.
